Moderat - A New Error

A couple of days ago the Sonar festival released a few names for this summer’s festival. And one of the artists that made my heart beat a little bit faster was Moderat. In Swedish Moderat means evil but now that word will make us think of Modeselektor and Apparat and their collaboration Moderat.

It’s been a while since they dropped their last EP “Auf Kosten Der Gesundheit” but now they are back and I’ve been listening to the album on repeat and it’s amazing! It is recorded in analog at Berlin's famed Hansa Studios.

Go to your nearest web shop and buy this when it droppes on April 20th. The self-titled album will also be available as a limited edition DVD produced by the Berlin based artist collective Pfadfinderei, feature music videos and more exclusive content. Pfadfinderei will also contribute visuals to all Moderat live shows.

It’s been mixed feelings about the new Pet Shop Boys tune “Love etc.” that’s been floating around all over the net. Still, I loved it and have been playing it a lot, especially on my way home from work! But this Gui Boratto remix is brilliant and kills the original so if you didn’t liked it from the start, maybe this will change your mind.

Modeselektor X 2

Last year I was blessed to see more than one show with Modeselektor and I'm still high from their gig at Berghain in Berlin. They are definitely one of my favorite acts and I hope to see them soon again.
They are currently in the studio together with their friend Apparat, making music as the Moderat. Cleaver name and we are looking forward to the new material.
