Kleerup

We can’t get enough of Kleerup. His been dropping some serious tunes and remixes the last couple of months. And this is one of them!

Kleerup "I just want to make"

Dirty South

This track is pure genius. Dirty South knows how to make a banger for the dance floor and this is one of them. We’ve been playing it al day in the studio and I love the special beat with the handclapping. Do you’re self a favour and download this one.

Roger Sanchez "Not Enough (Dirty South Remix)"

Unkle Jam - Love Ya (Hervé remix)

Well, this is so good that I don’t know where to start. Hervé or Joshua Harvey is a producer song writer and a brilliant DJ. He also makes music as Count of Monte Cristal, Voodoo Chilli, Dead Soul Brothers, Speaker Junk and Young Lovers so his pretty busy.
Love ya will probably be my favourite tune this fall.

Unkle Jam “Love Ya (Hervé remix)”

Remi Nicole - Go Mr sunshine (Punks jump up)

If you check out Punks Jump Ups MySpace you can see that their pretty busy the next couple of months with touring. This weekend their coming to Sweden and you should definitely go and check it out if you have the chance.
This is the remix they did of the up and coming star Remi Nicole’s song “Go Mr sunshine”.

Remi Nicole "Go Mr sunshine (Punks jump up)"

Russ Chimes Remix

I’ve been a fan of Russ Chimes for a while now, especially the “She’s got the heat” tune. So it was no surprise that I would love his remix of Colleges “Teenage Color” song.
It takes a while before the melody gets going but then it slowly turns into a perfect pop song with an eighties feeling to it.

College “Teenage Color (Russ Chimes Remix)”

Scanners - Lowlife (L.A Riots Remix)

The London based band Scanners is out doing some heavy touring of their debut album that released about a year ago in the states.
They got some help from L.A. riots with their tune Lowlife and it’s a typical cutup masterpiece from L.A's finest.

Scanners “Lowlife (L.A Riots Remix)”

Heater

Been out sick so that’s why it’s been a bit slow here for the last couple of days. No worries cause I’m back and I honestly think that one of the reasons that I got better, except the drugs was this remix by
Claude Von Stroke.

Samim “Heater (Claude Von Stroke remix)”

Boody B remix

Boody B has done a ridiculous amount of great stuff recently and this Mapei remix is one of them. Thanks to Big Stereo.

Mapei “Belly (Boody B remix)”

Spank Rock - Bounce

Ghislain Poirier brings us another sweet track. This time its Spank Rocks tune Bump and its sick that I never get tired of that song. And now I got another reason to keep on listening to it. BUMP!

Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid

"I don’t wanna wake up, knowing I don’t have a future."
This is the Van Rivers & the Subliminal Kid version of Shout Out Louds tune “Impossible”. Its one of my favourite remixes so far and I’ve been playing it all morning.
Van Rivers and The Subliminal Kid are doing a DJ-gig this evening at F12 so make sure to stop by if you’re In Stockholm.

Shout Out Louds “Impossible (Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid Remix)”

Make your own kind of music

It’s been a great weekend and the last week we gave you some serious tunes and we’ll try to keep that flow going.
This one is a bit old but last Friday Teki Latex visited Malmö and he played this Mathieu Bouthier and Muttonheads version of "Make Your Own Kind Of Music". Of course everyone went mad and sang along in the chorus.

Raw Deluxe Shit - Buffalo Bounce

It’s Friday and we got this special tune to get you in the right mood for the weekend. Its Raw Deluxe Shits version of Neneh Cherrys
Buffalo Stance”. You can expect a lot of that Baltimore sound mixed with this classic Swedish eighties song. Enjoy!

Raw Deluxe Shit ”Buffalo Bounce”

Crank Dat Soulja Boy

This is another brilliant tune from Cousin Cole. We can’t get enough of it and we’ve been playing it on repeat in the Sidekick studio for the last couple of days.

I got the tune from the beautiful boys over at Discobelle. Make sure to catch their show if you’re in Stockholm tonight, I have a feeling that they definitely will be playing this tune tonight.

Soulja Boy "Crank Dat Soulja Boy (Cousin cole remix)"

Sincerely Yours

Were only half way there but it’s already been a good week here at Radio Sidekick and the tunes just keeps on dropping in.
This collaboration between The Tough Alliance and Taken by Trees is this week’s best surprise. Victoria Bergsman’s vocals are amazing and this Taken Too Young tune is a masterpiece.

The Tough Alliance “Taken Too Young”

Sometimes the aim for reality feels too unrealistic. Sometimes you have to indulge in sweet distractions, gentle escapes and beautiful illusions to be able to stand this excuse for an existance. Sometimes you're just too young.
Sincerely Yours

Boom

This Friday Teki Latex gonna do a live/DJ/karaoke set in my hometown Malmö and if you’re not located in Sweden you should definitely pay a visit for the next couple of days will probably be b-a-n-a-n-a-s. I hope I will get to hear Les Matins de Paris and of course this Les jouets tune that made my day today!

Teki Latex “Les jouets”

On Saturday Thunder Heist is doing a gig at The Rumble and my expectations are mad high. Their tune Suenos Dulces has been frequently played in my mp3player the last couple of months.
You don’t want to miss it!

Moguai and Tocadisco - Freaks (Moguai Mix)

I don’t really know what to write about this. Its one of those tunes where I instantly feel good after just hearing the first beat. I seriously hope that I will hear this everywhere I go for the next couple of weeks. Damn this is good!

Moguai and Tocadisco "Freaks (Moguai Mix)"

Jimmy Video

Kala is definitely one of this year’s best album so far and we will probably see lots more videos from M.I.A. in the near future.

Klaxons - Not Over Yet (Blende remix)

Like everyone else I prefer the remixes of Klaxons songs instead of the originals. But next Tuesday Klaxons are coming to my hometown Malmö for a free gig and maybe then they will change my mind.
This remix by Blende is absolutely kicking and is one of my favourite remixes of Klaxons so far.

Klaxons “Not Over Yet (Blende remix)”

Radio gaga (Zhiguli mix)

Our new friends Zhiguli from Kiev, Ukraine just made friends with us on OurSpace and that deserves a re-post of their Queen remix.
A killer on the dance floor that’s also been frequently played in the Radio Sidekick Studio.

Queen “Radio gaga (Zhiguli mix)”

Tony Wilson

You have to love the way that Tony Wilson revolutionised the music scene in the early 90s. When he signed bands like Happy Mondays, Joy Division and the Durutti Column he changed the way how we all see British pop music today.
I’ve always loved music from this time like Stone Roses and Happy Mondays but it was not until I saw the movie 24 Hour party people that I got to know how important Tony Wilson was for this music scene. I saw that film again for the fifteenth time last week and I still love it.
It really shows the passion that Tony Wilson had for Manchester and the city’s music.
He’s a legend and will be remembered for a long time.
Thanks and rest in peace Mr Wilson.

The Durutti Column “Neon”
Joy Division “She’s lost control”
New Order “Blue Monday”
Happy Mondays “Step On”

A Certain Ratio “Shack Up”

Since you been gone

While Robyn is taking over in the UK we post this song that she did on the Jo Whiley's Live Lounge. It’s a cover of a Kelly Clarkson tune.

Robyn “Since you been gone”

Lovestoned/I Think She Knows (Mysto & Pizzi Remix)”

Theirs has been several remixes of the Lovestoned/I Think She Knows tune. The Justice remix was good but this one is my favourite.
It’s not the first remix Mysto & Pizzi does for Timberlake and we hope it’s not the last either.

Justin Timberlake “Lovestoned/I Think She Knows (Mysto & Pizzi Remix)”

Samin - Heater (original mix)

Happy Friday everyone! Its fashion week in Copenhagen and maybe we’ll be seeing some of you at tonight’s Vice party.
I love this Samin tune with all the jungle sounds on it. Perfect for tonight’s events. You should also check out the Robidog blog.

Samin “Heater (original mix)”

Primal Scream Hostage

Damn! It’s been a lot of remixes of pop bands the last couple of posts. Great timing to blog this Hostage remix of one of my favourite 90’s bands. I still think that Primal Screams Screamadelica is one of the best records ever made. This is Rocks from the Give out But Don't Give Up album.

Primal Scream “Rocks (Hostage Remix)”

(Thnaks to Monsieur P)

Phones Remix

I haven’t gotten around to listen on the whole new Liverpol album yet but I don’t think I will like it as much as I did the first one. But I do like this Phones remix of The Heinrich Maneuver, Phones always delivers and if you get the chance make sure that you catch one of his DJ-sets.

Interpol "The Heinrich Maneuver (Phones Remix)"

Suburban Knights

Another bumping tune from the Angello & Ingrosso team. This is
Hard Fi's latest single and there is an album on the way.

Hard Fi “Suburban Knights (Angello & Ingrosso Remix)”

Hoxton Whores

It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything from the Hoxton Whores but I’m glad their back because this Ninelives the Cat remix is great. I’ve been listening to it all day in my mp3-player while chilling in the sun.

Ninelives The Cat “Dog Food (Hoxton Whores Mix)”

Bag Raiders - Fun Punch (Whitenoise Remix)

Damn good remix of Fun Punch from this Australian kid that is Whitenoise. And it’s probably not the last we’ve seen or heard from him. Check out his Space for more great tunes.

Bag Raiders "Fun Punch (Whitenoise Remix)" (Removed)
Thanks to Disco Delicious

A glimse

Well it’s no secret that we love the Cobra Snake and I’ve been borrowing his pictures for years. Always a great mix of beautiful people and interesting parties. Especially this week when he gives us a view of what Xavier de Rosnay from Justice had in his CD-case when they visited Los Angeles a couple of days ago. You can spot some Switch, Boys Noize, Digitalism and lots of other great stuff.

Carnifull Trio - Song For Guido (Crookers Remix)

Here's something to make your weekend a little bit better. This turned out to be a wonderful collaboration between Carnifull Trio and the Crookers. A perfect Friday tune!

Carnifull Trio “Song For Guido (Crookers Remix)”

Richard Grey

I don’t know where I got this tune from but I’m glad I found it. I’ve gotten pretty tired of this Soft Cell tune over the last couple of years but Richard Grey makes it hard not to fall in love with it again. I’ve heard a couple of different remixes but my favourite is this Deep Dish version.
